Classic Car Insurance

Classic Car Insurance

Classic and collectible car insurance is different than ordinary car insurance because it’s geared to cover the full collectible value of your car.

How to Qualify for Classic Car Insurance:

When we submit your application for insurance, your insurance carrier may require us to provide some or all of the information below. Should you ever be in the unfortunate position of filing a claim, everything will be in order.

  • Usage: It is your car and you should feel free to drive it. We will tailor your policy to reflect your driving habits.
  • Storage: Your collectible car should be stored inside in a secure locked garage or structure. The following storage facilities normally qualify: residential garage, barn, secure rental storage unit, and others. Let’s talk about yours!
  • Regular-Use Vehicles: Since you don’t need to drive your “baby" every day, carriers will require that you maintain “regular use” insurance in your name on a daily driver vehicle. Customarily, motorcycles do not qualify as a daily driver nor does public transportation.
  • Driver Eligibility: As with other forms of auto insurance, your driving history will also be taken into account. Serious infractions within the last 5 years such as OUI, DUI, excessive speeding, driving recklessly or an alcohol citation could affect eligibility, but may not necessarily disqualify you. Minor traffic violations or accidents per household are generally acceptable.
Home Insurance

Home Insurance

Home insurance covers the hazards that most homeowners face—everything from fire to theft, a cracked foundation to accidents on your property. When a loss occurs, you will file a claim with your insurance carrier and you are paid for the expenses, minus any outstanding deductible amounts.

Insurance also covers personal liability exposures, to protect you from many situations that could lead to lawsuits from others.

For instance, if someone slips and falls in your home, or is injured somewhere on your property, you can be held responsible. Liability coverage is there to protect you.

You could also potentially need insurance to protect you from having to pay for:

  • Storm damage, fire, windstorm, lightning, and hail, to name a few.
  • Dog bite liability (standard liability may not be enough if your dog bites someone or causes them to become injured, so consider your pets carefully)
  • Manufactured home coverage
  • Trampoline or swimming pool liability insurance
  • Wind damage
  • Sinkholes
  • Flood damage
  • Sewer or septic backups
  • Replacement cost for personal property
  • Umbrella liability insurance

When you see an independent insurance agent like us, you have the chance to explore all your options for insurance and protect the things that are most important to you.

Life Insurance

Life Insurance

Life Insurance policies cannot put a dollar amount on your family but can insure their future is protected.

Two Types of Life Insurance Policies to Choose From:

  1. Term life policies are set up to cover you for a specific period. The most common term policies cover for fifteen to twenty years. Depending on the age of insured, premiums start out dirt cheap and increase in costs with your age. Some Term life policies even offer the option to convert to a whole life policy when the policy is set to expire.
  2. Whole life or Universal life insurance covers the insured for the course of their life, even if you live to be 100 years old! An advantage of a universal life policy is that the policy builds cash value that you may borrow against in times of need.
Umbrella Insurance

Umbrella Insurance

You never know when it might rain. So just like the name implies this type of policy acts like an umbrella, providing protection against a wide range of potential financial dangers, and unforeseeable mishaps.

Umbrella insurance is a form of liability insurance; therefore, it does not cover:

  • Your own medical expenses.
  • Losses to your property.

However, what exactly is covered by your umbrella policy depends on how you decide to set it up. In most cases, umbrella insurance protects you from:

  • Injuries you cause in a car accident
  • Injuries someone suffers on your property
  • Property damage you cause in an accident
  • Property damages your pet causes
  • Property damages a dependent or child causes
  • Attorney fees and other legal costs if you’re sued

Yes, your existing insurance may protect you to an extent, but an umbrella policy goes much further for less cost than upping the limits on your existing policy. Umbrella insurance is also portable, in most cases; so it can follow you when and wherever you travel―even overseas.
